In 2010 we decided to looking for a mid summer tournament to take our rag tag group of guys to so we could shake off the summer rust. We found an advertisement for Hockey Fights MS and the rest is history.  Team Washland as we were called that first summer, struggled to find players to go. They even had to find a goalie the day before the tournament started. Well that rag tag group of misfit players turned in a performance of a life time and destroyed the competition by and avg. of 5.5 goals in round robin play. We also found out about the Vermont Brewers Festival that first year and lets just say that we made the most of that night. Sunday morning rolled around and we ended up loosing 2-1 to the team we beat 7-2 the night before. It was a awful feeling driving all the way back to Albany, NY knowing that you let the championship slip through your fingers. The core group of committed players vowed to never have that feeling again.

In 2011 Team Winning was much improved. In the first game we got killed. We were missing 2 guys but still I think we lost 10-2. We rolled over the other teams and met the team that killed us on Friday night in the Championships and shellacked  them 6-2. That left them so pissed off that they didn't come back for a rematch in 2012.

In 2012 we had a major overhaul loosing  3 solid players that had been with us for this tourney and many others. We again thought we had stacked the roster with a team that could not be beat. Not to mention that we had new jerseys and a new name CAPITAL DISTRICT SHAMROCKS. In our first game on Friday night we ran into a cocky, mouthy, bunch of idiots from NYC that thought they were going to roll over everyone. We jumped out to a 3 goal lead only to see it fade away and we eventually tied. Going trough the line all they kept saying was they were not going to loose a game and they were the best team they were just tired from the drive wait till Sunday and they were going to show us who the better team was. Sunday rolled around and both teams had killed the other teams and were poised for a rematch in the Championship. We maid it to OT in a very tightly contested contest. But Choi blocked a shot while killing a 4 on 3 and took the puck in the other direction and scored on a breakaway with only seconds left. That gave us our 2nd Championship in a row.

In 2013 we made it a 3 peat and it took us OT to do it again. We played a great team from Burlington that had a lot of talent but we played our game and came out on top.
